Based on communications to date from interested masters skaters, Brett Arnason reports the following estimated level of Canadian interest in the 16th Masters International Speed Skating Games scheduled for the Calgary Olympic Oval during February 23 to 25, 2007:
Manitoba - 8
Saskatchewan - 7
Alberta - 28
British Columbia - 10
Ontario - 10
Quebec - 10
Maritimes - 10
This is the best opportunity for Canadians to participate in this premier masters speed skating event which will return to Europe in 2008 at Erfurt Germany. To assist meet organizers to assess interest, please advise Brett Arnason (brett@arnasons.ca) if you're planning to attend. Responses before Brett reports to the next IMSSC meeting in the Netherlands on May 27 would be appreciated.
