The small allround competition, which is the 3rd stop on the 2005-06 IMSSC racing circuit included 500m, 1000m,1500m and 3000m for men and women.
Canada was well-represented by olympian Patrick Kelly who registered the fastest 1500m time and best samalog points of all competitors as well as placing 2nd overall in the 500m, 1000m and 3000m. In addition, Patrick won all distances, except the 3000m, and the overall title for the Male 40-44 class.
With a 38.05 time, Patrick also re-set the 500m IMSSC record for Men 40-44 which he established in Baslega de Pine last year, as well breaking the 1000m record in 1:16.52 and the 1500m record in 1:59.97. Patrick's overall performance should also earn him the record for small allround samalog points, a benchmark that was established on indoor ice in Erfurt Germany.
Patrick's performance in the 500m and 1000m was only marginally eclipsed by Andrew Love of Adirondack, New York who also set new records for the 500m and 1000m for Men 35-39; times which Andrew had established only 1 week earlier on indoor ice in Hamar. As well as winning the Men 35-39 overall age class, Andrew's samalog points placed him 2nd of all competitors for the meet. Andrew's personal account can be seen at http://andrewlove.org/blog/?p=197
