12th MASTERS INTERNATIONAL SPEED SKATING SPRINT CLASSIC - FINAL RESULTS

The second round of 500m and 1000m races were completed January 22, 2006 in Inzell, Germany.

Building on his previous day victories in the men's 40-44 class, Canadian Patrick Kelly, again, won both events clocking 38.60 and 1:19.63 respectively. After 4 races, Patrick was the overall event winner for his group with 155.715 points, which should earn him the IMSSC record for sprint samalog results previously set on indoor ice in Heerenveen.

In the men's 35-39 class, Andrew Love of Adirondack New York continued his Day 1 winning streak with times of 38.46 and 1:18.40. In similar fashion, Andrew also dominated his group with 153.815 points - good enough to establish a new samalog points record. This achievement will add to Andrew's similar record in the 30-34 age class, established 2 years earlier on this same track

Although leading the men's 50-54 class after the first day's races, fellow American Boris Leiken fell in his 2nd 500m but clinched another 1000m win in 1:22.50. Despite his misfortune in the Sunday 500m, Boris held on for a 2nd place overall finish with 173.485 points.
