HALIFAX MASTERS - REGISTRATION DEADLINE REMINDER

With only a few days left to register for the 2011 Canadian Masters Championships, the citizens of Halifax are making good use of the new Canada Winter Games Oval. The venue is so popular that Facebook groups, lobbying to make the oval permanent, are emerging.

The oval will, however, be decommissioned after the 2010-11 skating season is over - making the upcoming Championships the only opportunity for masters to compete on this ice surface.

So far, 29 skaters have registered for the combined test event and masters championship leaving plenty of room for additional competitors. Register now before the January 7, 2011 deadline and be part of history.
