Photo courtesy of Flying FossilsThe fastest mature speed skaters in North America turned in another stellar performance at this year's 24 hour in-line skate marathon in Montreal. Based on its peformance in previous editions of this event, the team of masters skaters was judged too fast for the fitness division and placed in the elite class where it finished 7th out of 14 teams in June 2009. Part of the Flying Fossils' motivation was a challenge from the Women of Wheels (WOW) team who posed for a photo with their not-yet-over-the-hill counterparts.
