Many thanks to Mike McDonald for the following report -
The MB Short Track Championship was held on the weekend March 1 – March 2, 2008. The total number of Master skater’s was … four; Randy Plett, Stuart Parrott, Mike McDonald, and Dave Granger. All four put on a show and kept pace with the younger skaters, records were falling like leaves in September.
500m - Randy Plett (M2), New record – 0.50.49, Old record - 0.50.80
777m - Randy Plett (M2), New record – 1.18.20, Old record - 1.18.75
777m - Dave Granger (M3), New record – 1.31.46, Old record - 1.32.52
1500m - Randy Plett (M2), New record – 2.37.26, Old record - 2.37.36
Stuart and I may not have broken any records this weekend but we did lower our PB's. Overall the weekend was a great time and gets us all ready for one more race; the Manitoba Cup the last race of the year.
Overall standings came in as follows:
1 - Randy Plett (M2)
2 - Stuart Parrott (M2)
3 - Mike McDonald (M1)
4 - Dave Granger (M3)
Way to go guys!!
